It’s almost certain that double gold medal winner Mo Farrah will not be in Carding Mill Valley in Stretton on May 18th for the sixth Annual Duck Races. However, almost everyone else who matters will be there for a day of thrills and spills from 10.30 onwards as another ten gripping races will be run down the famous whitewater course.
Last year saw the wettest April on record (followed by the wettest May, June, July August etc etc) and the result was two world records being broken on the same day. So far, it doesn’t look as if the course will be as fast as last year, but it’s still wonderfully unpredictable, and with entries held for the sixth year in a row at 50p per duck it’s great value for money.
