WE’VE GONE TO ENORMOUS EXPENSE involving very little by way of carbon footprinting to bring the residents of the Battlefield estate their very own page!   On this first page we’ll put general items of interest, newsletters and tips for everyone.  You can click on your own road’s page (the blue banners at the top) for other news, including how much better you’re doing than the other roads!  Add your own comments, share things that have worked for you, record your progress – it’s up to you.

Under the Keep Shropshire Warm insulation scheme we have just been told there is a limited amount of funding available for FREE loft insulation top up for anyone over 70 if they have 100mm (4″) or less  of insulation. As a rough rule, if your insulation is equal to or less than the depth of your ceiling joists  you would qualify.  Usually it has to be  3″ or less to qualify.

WATER SAVING

Your street reps have details of some large / low cost water butts.  With Severn Trent urging everyone to save water now may be a good time to consider increasing your rainwater storage capacity. If several folk got together transport costs could be reduced.
