Stretton Climate Care, Church Stretton Town Council, Transport for Wales and Shropshire Council all have strategic policies for Active Travel. The objective is to encourage the shift from car to public transport.

By providing pre-booked instant access to a secure parking space, local residents and tourists can plan to cycle to the station to travel onwards by train.

Stretton Climate Care are crowd funding to install two secure lockable and covered cycle hangars, one on each platform, (controlled by a personalised app on your smart phone) to accommodate 12 cycles at the railway station.

We’ve reached the magic number of 20 backers which qualifies us for the Active Travel funding.
