Global Biodiversity Loss, Ecosystem Collapse and National Security

Global biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and national security

We’re encouraging individuals and community groups to use their voices to challenge local MPs and councillors to:

  • Read the recent report
  • Look at the expert briefings given at the National Emergency Briefing on 27th November when ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media with the latest implications for health, food, national security and the economy. The talks are now on the public record.
  • Challenge local politicians to set-out their plans for protecting our local area from the risks identified in the security assessment and national emergency briefing
  • Challenge local politicians to explain what adaptation strategy is in place to prepare for the impacts of climate change and ecosystem breakdown
