More broadly, we should be clear to householders that low carbon heating systems must deliver the same level of comfort. 17 degrees is totally unacceptable for vast swathes of the population. Luckily, this is not on the cards and low carbon heating can deliver the goods.

What percentage of all global fossil fuel CO₂ emissions since 1751 have occurred in my lifetime.

If you are 15 it is about 30%
If you are 30 it is more than 50%
If you are 50 it is about 75%
If you are 85, it is more than 90%
